Liquidation Station 😱
Interested in how much has been flushed out of leveraged long and short positions? Who’s getting hurt the most? This is the best place to get an idea of how leveraged positions are doing. 🔴
30-day Total Liquidations 📆
What you’re looking at: Green bars = long positions liquidated. Red bars = shorts liquidated. Height = dollars vaporized (y-axis tops at ~$920 M).
May 30 – roughly $800 M in longs blown out after BTC dipped below $105 K.
Jun 4-5 – biggest two-day flush (~$900 M) as ETH face-planted 5 %.
Jun 8 – short squeeze torched ~$350 M when prices snapped back.
Jun 11-13 – over $1 B in long carnage during a macro jitters sell-off.
Jun 21-22 – cease-fire rumors flipped sentiment and nuked ~$450 M in crowded shorts.
Pattern: bars flip green-to-red every few days, proving traders reload leverage the moment the smoke clears.
7-day Liquidation Heat Map 🌡️
What you’re looking at: Rows are coins. Columns are time/date stamps.
Color shows head-count of liquidations:
Blue/green = quiet.
Yellow = spicy.
Orange = chaos.
Numbers in the cells = the actual count of positions forced closed.
Jun 22-23 - orange wall hits. BTC clocks 1,200 liquidations, ETH 1,100, SOL >700. Catalyst: U.S. strikes on Iranian nuke sites sent risk into hiding, then a cease-fire whisper torched shorts just as hard.
Alt-coin sympathy: XRP, ADA, and the meme zoo spike to 300-500 liquidations not long after the majors.
Lower-leverage names (TON, APT, NEAR) stay mostly blue - proof you can’t liquidate what isn’t levered.
Activity cools after Jun 24 but never goes back to blue across the board, meaning leverage was rebuilt almost immediately.
Some Interesting Insights 👓️
Multi-hundred-million liquidation waves are now routine – treat every leverage build-up like a live grenade.
Macro headlines, not shadowy whales, timed every major spike. Stay glued to geo-politics if you insist on high leverage.
Majors flash the warning lights first. When BTC and ETH cells turn orange, you’ve got a short window to yank risk in alts.
Any day that prints >$600 M in forced exits tends to reverse hard within 24-48 hrs, hunting the opposite side’s stops. Trade size accordingly. 😎
